The following concept design provides mobility access to The Quay, St. Ives, Cambs, UK.  The high quay wall has always proven difficult to climb for even the most able bodied person.  Our design utilises galvanised steel ramps, complete with anti-skid surfacing and kee-klamp railings, to provide a smooth access to a floating pontoon.  In addition and perhaps as a second phase of the design,  further pontoons could be added to provide much needed additional public moorings.

Our intention was to provide access to all, along with the provision of additional public moorings, whilst minimising the proposals impact on the views of  the historic town bridge and chapel from the quay wall.  We also made sure there was enough space to feed the ducks.
