This is a concept design for the shop forecourts, Rectory Terrace, High Street, Cherry Hinton, Cambridge. PJTA surveyed the area using our total station theodolite. The survey data is then transferred into AutoCAD format and an 'as existing' plan produced. This plan can then be imported into our 3D design program, resulting in a 3D computer model.
The concept design incorporates resin bonded exposed aggregate surfacing, set to better gradients to improve drainage and to remove all steps from the shop entrances. Additional lighting and cycle parking have also been incorporated into the design. PJTA decided to put the cherry back into Cherry Hinton by introducing a small statue as a focal point.
